Latah Creek Reserve Petite Sirah 2021

Latah Creek Reds

Latah Creek Reserve Petite Sirah 2021

This intensely flavored wine bursts with fruit and enough tannins to age beautifully, featuring candied plum and lavender aromas, and lingering tastes of blackberry jam, black plum, and cocoa powder.

Latah Creek Reserve Petite Sirah 2021

The term Reserve is not taken lightly by Father/daughter winemaking team, Mike and Natalie. Wines selected with this elite designation must exhibit outstanding varietal character and exceptional balance. These wines will age gracefully over the next decade, but don’t be afraid to enjoy them now. They started the Reserve Red program in 2008, with the first release in April 2010. The idea was to give Natalie an opportunity to learn an individual grape intimately, on a small-scale level.

Natalie’s Tasting Notes

One of my all-time favorite wines from our past creations is the Monarch Petite Sirah, part of our original Reserve release. So, when the chance arose to craft this exquisite varietal once more, I eagerly took it! This bold wine is rich in fruity flavors, complemented by sufficient tannins that allow it to age gracefully. Enticing aromas of candied plum and lavender greet your senses, while the flavors of blackberry jam, black plum, and hints of cocoa powder wash over your palate and linger delightfully.

Food Pairing

This intense wine should be served with just as intensely flavored food, such as beef, lamb, hearty stews.  Try Ellena’s Red Wine Tri-Tip recipe online or in her latest cookbook.
