
All you need is love…and a bottle of wine, right? Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and we can feel the love in the air around here! If you’re anything like us, the stress of trying to get a reservation at your favorite restaurant on the busiest day of the year doesn’t sound super *romantic*. So instead of adding unnecessary stress this year, we’ve decided to spend February 14th at home with our very own Valentine’s Day concoctions! Here are five V-Day cocktails that are sure to leave you and your favorite person feeling drunk in love! (Each recipe yields two servings.)
White Wine Spritzer
What you’ll need:
8 oz of your favorite bottle of white wine
2 oz Prosecco
2 oz Champagne or sparkling water
Grand Marnier
Frozen raspberries
What you’ll do:
-Pour wine into a pitcher
-Add in Prosecco and Champagne
-Drizzle a shot of Grand Marnier, and stir
-Divide between two glasses and add frozen raspberries for garnish
Rosy Red Wine Cocktail
What you’ll need:
8 oz Cabernet Sauvignon
2 oz cold soda water
1 tsp powdered sugar
1 tsp lemon juice
Strawberries
What you’ll do:
-Mix lemon juice and powdered sugar until the sugar is dissolved
-Slowly mix in the wine
-Pour over ice, top with soda water, and add strawberries for garnish
Valentine’s Day Mimosa
What you’ll need:
1 bottle of Champagne, chilled
2 Tbsp grenadine
Strawberries
What you’ll do:
-Fill two Champagne flutes ⅔ with Champagne
-Add 1 Tbsp of grenadine per flute
-Add skewered strawberries for garnish (if you’re feeling really fancy, use a paring knife to shape the strawberries into hearts!)
*This would also be great with pomegranate juice and seeds!
French 75
What you’ll need:
3 oz Gin
1 ½ oz lemon juice
1 ½ oz simple syrup
8 oz Champagne
Frozen raspberries
What you’ll do:
-Add Gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup to a shaker filled with ice. Shake, and strain into two Champagne flutes
-Split the Champagne evenly between flutes, and garnish with lemon peel
-Add in frozen raspberries for a Valentine’s Day twist
Red Wine Milkshake
What you’ll need:
1 pint vanilla ice cream
1 cup red dessert wine
Whipped cream
Cherries
What you’ll do:
-Add ice cream and wine into a blender and blend on high until smooth, about 30 seconds
-Pour into two glasses, top with whipped cream and a cherry
