3 Family Favorite Soups

Aug 22, 2024

The fall and winter seasons are soup seasons for me and my family. I love making soup for my family because I know I’m guaranteed amazing leftovers for lunch the next day. Plus, as the weather turns colder, there’s nothing like a hot soup or chili to warm you up. Here are three of my family’s favorite soups:

#1 Kale and Sausage Soup

This creamy soup is a winner in our house. The creaminess of the soup base paired with spicy sausage is fantastic! You’ll love how simple this soup is to make for a weeknight dinner. And bonus, it only takes 30 minutes from start to finish!

#2 Minestrone Soup with Couscous

I got my family on the Mediterranean Diet this year as a way to eat healthily. One of my favorite recipes from the diet was Minestrone Soup with Couscous. You don’t have to use couscous, you can substitute for any pasta you like but, after a few variations of this recipe, my mom and I concluded that we loved the couscous addition most.

#3 Turkey and Salsa Chili

We absolutely love this chili! We always serve this with cornbread of course because my kids would probably say it’s one of their favorite foods. As for toppings, we typically add shredded cheese, sour cream, avocado, and onions.

Enjoy!
