N Collection 2018 Nat’s Red Blend

After 20 years in winemaking, Natalie started a new wine label. This new project is not like anything her or her father ever done before. Her aim, through this new label, is to search across Washington State for high-quality bulk, finished wines, which she will purchase, bottle, and offer to you all. And, she still remains firm in her family’s passion, to make these wines accessible to everyone at reasonable prices.

This wine was sourced from one of our grape suppliers that we’ve previously collaborated with for our Reserve collection. They offered various blends across different vintages, and after tasting through nine different options, this one stood out as my favorite. It is labeled as Columbia Valley, as it includes several AVAs: 51.5% Red Mountain, 38.7% Horse Heaven Hills, and 9.8% Columbia Valley. In terms of varietal composition, it is a Bordeaux blend consisting of 66.7% Merlot, 21.6% Cabernet Franc, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1% Malbec, and 0.7% Petit Verdot.

Natalie’s Tasting Notes

Even though this wine has quite a bit of age on it, with the pedigree of the vineyard locations, you can expect that this wine is a massive and intense red. It easily has 5-10 years of age-ability on it, but don’t be afraid to enjoy it now.  This blend is luscious and bold, exploding with violet, sweet cherry, and vanilla aromas, while strawberry, bell peppers, and toasted oak flavors linger into a velvety smooth finish.
